|  | | | Some friends and I made this trek last month after reading about this on somebody's website. We brought a ton of lights and ended up using them in the scenes, which was kind of fun. I've never seen so many cockroaches before, and I hope to never see that many again.

I like what you did with the first picture, it looks like the person is holding a burning torch. I would do a severe crop to emphasize him, and i thought it looked nice in greyscale.
This other picture has potential as well. take it or leave it:

You make a good point. I was intent on keeping the shutter open a bit longer to fill in my shadows with detail and I think I ended up losing a lot of the interesting contrast that you get from being in that environment. I'm sure I could take another pass at the pics to reintroduce some of that, but I'd rather it be something that's taken into consideration while actually taking the pictures.
