| | | i feel as though these have a very sanpshot-ish feel. they lack a story or great composition. the sky is really hazy in a bunch, which you can't help, but it doesn't make for a great picture. the interior one is just boring. it's not straight, its not of anything very interesting. the red thing on the bottom is just there, cut off. this looks like a really fun place to kayak to and hang out (if there isn't poison ivy) but it's one of those placed you have to try a lot harder to get good photographs as opposed to documenting it with simple snapshots.

| | | There's something very mysterious about glimpsing things through the trees. I'd love to see more pics if you have any. edit: I just realised this was in the photo critiques section, so I'll apologise to Jess for thinking she was being a bit harsh. I agree entirely - it looks like you were just grabbing some shots along the way, rather than aiming for any great artistry. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it does not a memorable photo make. A suggestion on the photographic side: It would probably be useful to start by just thinking about what your foreground, middle ground, and background are before you take a shot. Anyway, I'd still like to see more photos - post 'em up! [last edit 7/23/2008 3:57 PM by metawaffle - edited 1 times]
