| | | both images give a different feel. personally i think the black and white is alot more sad, but the color has more emotion.

| | | I like B&W on that one. Though I generally prefer B&W shots unless the color is so amazing it just needs to be shown. That's just the way I am though. I break it down like this... B&W causes me to think and I have to fill in the color with my mind. I subconsciously think about it more. However with color, my brain just thinks "yep, color image, looks like a building, moving on, whats next?" For some reason I'm just drawn to the B&W. Nice shot by the way. -TR

| | | b&w one for me! I think the b&w is more suiting because it's not how we normally see, it needs more of your own imagination..

| | | Ruh Roh. I just happened to check this thread again. Before at work on a LCD screen, I preferred the B&W. Now at home on a CRT monitor I like the color. Now the color looks so vibrant. The B&W now seems much darker and is almost scary looking. I find this pretty humorous. I'll have to check when I go back to work tomorrow again! I'm really wondering if the smallest detail like monitor or personal color settings could effect which one looks better. Very weird.

| | | Black and white. The sky and belltower look more interesting together in B&W. The grass strands are distracting in colour, they blend into the building and look out of place against the sky, but in the black and white they really add a lot.

| | | I like the color, I think you can get more about the feeling and the time of day from the color. Also, the blues in the roof and the tower match with the sky and the browns/reds of the building match with the dead plant life around the building. But I do like the contrast in the black and white.

| | | I like the color version the best, the difference in color between the cloudy blue sky and the red brick of the building is very nice. [last edit 7/9/2008 9:04 PM by Vacant NJ - edited 1 times]

| | | Both - for entirely different reasons. The mood is so distinct for each. The atmosphere predominates in the B/W and the details in the colour.
