This thread is concerning the building at Dry Creek. It's right next to the current site of the comcast building and has one of the taller structures in the area. I believe it was comcast's old building and the tower looks like it could've been a doppler system or something. It also had a bank on the grounds and something called Landmark Education occupied some of the building. A month ago Landmark was still opperating and you could drive right up to the building. A friend and I did a little exploring and went up on the roof (unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me) and we went inside. Most of the space was just a large blank space and we didn't venture in too far. It was easy to get in because someone at one point in time had broken in and there was just some plywood covering the door.
Well, I went there today and brought my camera. Apparently the place is going to be demolished and has a large fence around the property. Alpine Construction is doing the work. The fence was open so I just drove in and was going to look around some more. A security guard (actually a middle aged man in a Corsica) started following me once I went in the fence and I just gave him a story about taking a wrong turn. So, it looks like it will be a little more work now to get some photos of the place.

Here's some photos of the outside of the place. Sorry they're so small.

If you have any photos of the complex let me know, this place was kind of cool to walk into at one point in time but now it's a little more challenging.

That tall tower is really just a modern water tower, There's one just like it in Security (Colorado Springs neighborhood)

Are you sure it's a water tower? It's really tall and I once looked at it and it just had a door going into the base. I thought the building used to be the old comcast building. I guess if you say it's a water tower then it's a water tower. I was thinking it was one of those old doppler radars or something.

it's a water tower. the door likely leads to a pump room.

no reason to mount Doppler so high up, and even if it was, there's no reason that Comcast would own one.

See here:

It's an scale model, as are the trains and the rest of the stuff there.
Doppler radar domes are mounted around 50-75 feet up, and on steel lattice towers usually.

These types of water towers, however, can be as tall as 80-90m (300 ft)

Yeah, I guess it's a really high water tower - there doesn't seem to be much compacity to it though, I guess they were using it more to pressurize the water system in the local area. What's with the big unused open space between the 2 buildings? It seems kind of out of place.

most of the main building is gone now and there is a giant hill of dirt in front of where the building was. Apparently there's no plans to use the old structure. I'm not sure if the bank that was on the site is still standing.
