Great pics! I am going to be in BC for a conference in a couple of weeks and this is definitely on my list of places to visit.

You can see in one of the photographs that there is a section of the bridge deck that is burnt due to arson. Who would want to burn this beautiful structure? I hope it can be saved.

- Mike

That's the main reason I've never posted about this structure. Expected someone would eventually, as it's now getting more well known. Even a back page article in that BCAA rag.

There are plans to save it, a society dedicated to it's preservation etc. This is the kind of location that in my opinion should not be posted on UER, at least not in a general public thread. For obvious reasons. Frankly I'd be thrilled if you pulled this thread.

Agreed - A. Lien. Awesome shots but this is prime target for "undesirables"

Detailed directions do exist elsewhere on the net, not that we should post them here, but the info is already out there. All that I will add is that the parking lot there has a problem with car thieves. DON"T leave ANY valuables in your car there.

There is a fairly healthy discussion about this trestle on railfan.net. Those who know where the bridge is located should be able to find the thread relatively easily. If not, PM me & I will send the link.

FOAMERZ!!!!!

I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too!
