Mesa, AZ Hospital - Closed but not vacant

I know eventually someone will want to find a way into this, but I don't think thats a good idea. It's on Country Club near Brown, big 8 story hospital. It closed in Sept. I scouted it today. It looks completely vacant and abandoned but I found out that there are still about 100 employee's still working inside, and there is security 24/7. They plan on doing demolition and refurnishings to the inside and possibly make it a training center for doctors and nurses. Demolition won't start til later this year and it's only gutting out interior walls, nothing exterior.
And actually currently right now there is a major motion picture being filmed inside the hospital so security is extra tight!

This could have been our gem but it's really just a big dud. Thought I'd pass the info on.

Are the employee's still working there part of movie production? Maybe the place will be totally abandoned after they wrap on filming. We can only hope anyways! I will scout it out and see if I can find any possible entry routes. If security is extra tight we may have to wait it out though....

I went out to this location today, your right about it being a dud. It was pretty busy for a hospital that's been shut down. I counted at least 10-15 vehicles parked outside and that was on a Sunday afternoon.

I haven't been by the hospital in a while. It is probably worth another look now. Let us know what you find out.

Well if they stay true to the tradition in this area it will probably be torn down the day everybody leaves. The old Earnhardt Ford building about a mile from my apartment was vacated one day, demolished the next. Literally.

I wish the economy would just hurry up and tank already, it would probably slow things down a bit. Man, Im probably gonna lose my job for saying that. Karma being what it is and all.
