| | How 'Bowt Another Nova Scotia Meet < on 9/1/2007 12:58 AM >
| | | I missed the last Nova Scotia meet hosted by Beaver_Banker, having moved from Ontario recently; unable to use UER. I was wondering if anybody was interested in having another Nova Scotia meet. I don't know of many good spots in Halifax, or anywhere, really, and have been having a hard time getting back into UEing. So, if anybody is interested in a meet in NS, lets hear from you... | | | A place I've been trying to go to is the Hemlock Park Museum and the park itself. I've been told that the museum is inaccessible, but I doubt that. And also, there's said to be a heart-shaped pond in the park.

| | | I've found your Hemlock Park on Google Earth. It's civic address is Kent Avenue. I didn't see a heart-shaped lake anywhere, but, who knows... Below is a google earth map of it. I will search it closer to see if I find a building within it...

| | | Actually, below is a better view of what I was talking about: The red square is the museum, and the red circle is Julie's Pond (the heart-shaped pond)

| | | Oh, I see... I will have a better look at that museum, which I find intriguing... Why though, is it supposedly inaccessible?

| | | Well, it's been closed down for quite some time now, since as far as I can remember, it's been closed. I was up at the park today, the pond really IS shaped like a heart. Unfortunately, I didn't get over to the summer house because my ride said they had to be home for 5 -_-'

| | | Is there anybody else interested in coming? And, Nootz, if you're there, where could I find you? Kent Avenue? [last edit 9/7/2007 11:20 PM by Jake Noodles - edited 1 times]

| | | Dammit, I won't be able to be there... I am unlicensed (I'm fifteen), and there won't be a vehicle available... It's unfortunate...

| | | Well, I'm not going to be able to make it until tomorrow anyways. And yes, I'd be waiting up at the parking lot on Kent Ave.

| | | Isn't that building you're calling the museum the "music room" rotunda from the old royal estate? If so, it's not a museum at all, but rather a private house, and it is very much occupied.

I really know, I've seen a family come out of there several times now, plus they have lawn ornaments out sometimes too. It's confirmed that people live at the Rotunda. How they get a car down there is beyond me, 'cause I nearly bottomed out my car trying to get down.
