|  | | | As PhreakMonkey made a post about it in the Location DB I thought I should post up some shots of what we found.
We made a 2nd trip to the Priosn and this time we found that there had been visitors since our last visit.
As we reached the site we discovered that the roadblock had been removed and cleared away very throughly. Allowing us to travel directly to the entrance.
This was nice as it got the car out of sight from the road.
As we entered the building we smelled Smoke. I looked around and saw nothing amiss but upon closer inspection saw water damage and Chared wood at the ceiling line of the bunk room we had entered.
Seems the local fire department had used it as a training excercise.
So the room we where in had gone from this
To this.
Thankfully nothing else within the prison had been touched.
The building that they burned was a small bunkhouse connected by a small hallway to the main building.
Sad but thats what happens to abandoned building owned by the city.
I went back and reshot the blueroom as I had several comments about cutting off the leg of the bed.

It's got a long way to go before it winds up like Brook Run. There's entire square feet of wall at the prison farm with no lame-ass tags.

I havent been back ti visit since my last phototrip there, But as of 7/25/07 the road block had been removed by the FireDepartment so they could do a control burn for training.

| | | | cool pictures, especially 'solitary' and 'dsc 8438' from flickr. definitely more trashed than when i accidentally found it in 05. wasn't sure it was the same place until i checked out the db. i thought i'd find an old house at the end of that thorny walkway. what a glorious surprise!
