Nova Scotia Textiles Factory...

It's on lease, but it's exceptionally abandoned...

I was driving to Digby on highway 101 today, and about 1 kilometre before Falmouth, heading west, I saw a really old building which had in plain white lettering, Nova Scotia Textiles Factory...

I don't have any pictures, as I did not have a camera, but I would be interested in hearing more about this place if anybody knew anything...

Well by the looks of your post it seams as if you would have needed to look in the archives. Meaning it would not show up, now would it? For someone that doesn’t have time, going and looking thought the archives can be a pain. As for someone like Jake Noodles looking at this, he would see “Sorry, but you don't have enough access rights to see this thread” with his member status.
Your sarcastic remark is/was un called for.

Beaverbanker

So i was talking to one my friends as we were driving highway 101 last week, and we were going by windsor when i seen the old Nova Scotia Textiles building. They started telling me that the place was closed down not too long ago.
So i did a little research and found out it closed down in fall of 2005
(http://www.cbc.ca/...-iraq20051101.html link to article talking about its closure)
For you that don't know its that big factory on your right (heading towards yarmouth) when you drive by windsors. but i don't know if i can make it out there anytime soon but i think it would be a very cool place for someone to check out/if someone hasn't already. because i would consider this a big find... hopefully

heres what it looks like for those of you who don't know. found the picture on the internet

Well i ment to post this 2 weeks ago, (but forgot about till now) I went on a little scouting mission, And i think the building would be very easy to infiltrate, also there a few abandoned house around the place, but to drive to it you have to drive threw a rough lookin street. same goes you can't really park next to it because its right on the highway(the highway is above you 100 meters) and its surrounded by field, and theres a house(s) on the non highway side of the building. You would have to park at the park at the car pool lot and walk down this street and hope no one i guess calls the cops because theres only one place you would be walking too.

Ill be out that way this weekend to snap some outside pictures, but thats the best i can do for a bit.

It used to be a textiles plant making underwear under the name Windsor Wear, my mom grew up down in the valley, but i've never actually seen any of this valley underwear myself so i doubt there has been any made in along time.

It is on the way to Wolfville, it's in Windsor. Off the 101 I do believe, just across the highway from the Exhibition Park I think.
