my wife was not an exploring type when we met. She actually thought it was a little weird when I explained it. It took awhile, but I finally got her to a couple of little places: an abandoned mini golf course and an old warehouse. That was all it took. Now she is out scouting locations without me, and she it as hardcore as they come.
Give her a shot undertow. You never know how much she might enjoy it!

Yea, it's costing me sleep because I'm totally new to story boarding, but that's a whole 'nother thing.
Personally, I think if you can't tell your spouse about your hobbies, that's probably a problem in the relationship. Dishonesty always leads to trouble. I don't know, I guess I'm fortunate enough to be married to someone who has the same types of interests and passions as I do. I thought it was annoying at first because all he could talk about was going out to the point where we could do nothing but that, but now it's tamed off and it's actually fun, and we've made it even more fun by trying to pull of some crazy artistic stunts.

| | | | My wife and I first met each other through caving about 11 or 12 years ago. We used to go caving at least once a month up until we had our first child. Since then we have slowed down a bunch with caving and traveling. I stumbled on this site and thought it looked interesting. Since it doesn't require going out of town I can UE in the evenings.
It's a reasonable facsimile to caving and until the boys get old enough to travel around with us on underground adventures I can check out stuff locally. The wife is bummed that she can't go with me but lets me go anyway since I am not gone for an extended amount of time.
Besides, I am not what you would consider a hard core urban explorer so it's only once in a while.
