Crowsnest Pass mines book

On a previous visit to Calgary from the UK I spent a while browsing the books upstairs at MEC and found a book I've regretted ever since not buying. It was a book detailing hiking trails taking in the surface buildings of abandoned mines and industrial sites in Crowsnest Pass.
Have any of you encountered this book? I havent been able to locate it through Google and I wouldn't mind its title, then with luck I can find it when I'm next in Calgary if MEC no longer carry it.

Maybe a call or email to the Vancouver or Calgary libraries. They can scare up some quite obscure stuff sometimes. Sounds like a cool book. Good luck.

Fantastic stuff, that's it! Now to see if they'll send it overseas. If not then I'm sure I can get one of my in-laws to take delivery for me. Thanks for that!

Hardly worth it. Just go out there. Stop at Leitch. Use the tourist maps... all of the mines are well mapped out. Two-Three days is about what you need to do the full length of it.

If only I too had the luxury of living within driveable distance of the site!

It's true the book won't have much in it I couldn't find anywhere else. What it gives me though is the information neatly packaged up and delivered to me which is rather useful when you're planning a site visit from 4 thousand miles away.

Oh oh, sorry - missed the UK bit there. Whereabouts the UK are you? My parents have an old copy that I'm sure they won't miss, and they're heading over there in not too long. (We're all dual citizens).

I'm in Oxford. Thanks for the offer, but since I'm coming over later in the month I'll probably use it as an excuse to have a browse round MEC and just buy a copy. I don't know about you, but I can always lose a whole heap of time and money browsing round MEC.
