Don't get me wrong. They were just neglected Soviet navy ships, not something from the Second World War, and the pics were taken from a passing ship with a rather short telephoto lens - I had to use a magnifying glass to see them.

Yeah. There's a lot of (Soviet war)ship graveyards in Russia. I've found couple of them with Google Earth - a dozen ships on their side in a remote bay etc. I also saw some old navy/coast guard/something ships while visiting Vysotsk, but not all of them were abandoned, so I couldn't take a closer look.
