B&W prints-Meat Plant goodness

Here are some prints of mine that I have scanned into my computer. I am only a freshman and I took my first photo class this year, but I liked it a lot and hope to do more with photography as I get older.

Anyways, these are three prints of a meat packing plant I went to. I have more prints from there, but they all have the faces of my friends in them, and I don't want to put those online too quickly. So enjoy these.

Any comments are appreciated.

1. A building standing outside the main structure.

2. This awesome book that we found with a load of numbers and dates. This is a cool pic, I just wish my scanner didn't suck.

3. This is the main smokestack looking up from the inside of the main structure.

4. This last one is not at the meat plant, but rather is an adventure I took walking around the city my college is in. I found this sculpture place while walking, and I snapped this.

2 and 4 are quite good...

Kabbalah is an undramatic tradition that requires great patience and stability. One of the reasons for this tempo is that everyone has to mature his potential gradually and thoroughly at his natural pace. In this way his life's work unfolds at the right moment in his own and the cosmos's time.

1) Its okay, but the composition is a bit lax could be better with the whole building in it,

2) Could be a good shot but the washed out pages really detract from it.

3) Looks washed out and lacking in contrast in comparison with the other shots.

4) By far the best shot of the set. Its nicely framed and the subjects interesting.

If your having trouble scanning prints, Find somewhere to scan your negs, Your school should have a scanner and there are places that will do it commercially.
