| | | Heres the only shot I really liked from an abandoned house I checked out today. Although I didnt shoot much I did explore and find a lot. Though a good portion of the floor has since caved in since 1991 there are still some personal and very old items left over. When I mean old I mean WWI area old. Some person had a scrap book of news paper clippings of WWI. My friend and I also found 3 stamps of Dwight D Eisenhower and some old liquor bottles. Seemed to be a really religious family lived here. Im going to go back solo sometime next weekend I hope to check this place out.
This would of been a very nice house if the floor wasnt in the basement. (No shopping besides border/sizeing) [last edit 5/6/2007 4:09 AM by Corporal_Clegg - edited 2 times]

| | | Really nice shot! Did you find everything that way or did you move it into the frame to make the photo more interesting? The local Historical Society might be happy if you dontate some of the things that you found to them... They might even be able to pull a few strings, allowing you into more buildings! Again, great shot!
Now I've got that feeling once again, I can't explain, You would not understand, This is not how I am... I have become, Comfortably Numb... |

| | | The doll is slightly cropped, which detracts from the image IMO. The negative (or dead) space to the left also takes away. . . . And make sure the exposure is set correctly for your subject, not the scene as a whole. If that means windows blown out, highlights, so what? The subject matters most.
I'm excited to see the pics from the solo, dude. Solo pics are almost always better than group shootings. Seconding the historical society connection, I can get into churches and stuff in town thanks to networking through the society.
