| | | So this is it. My first time out with my new camera. Be expecting terrible pictures and a lame exploration. Here goes. These are pics of a string of abandoned hotels and one bar along a very busy stretch of road in C-Springs. After passing by several times and noticing the fence and barbed wire in the front of these places I imagined an easier, inconspicuous way in. There was. The back of these places had no fencing at all. That seemed like a stupid idea to me but I didn't complain. This is the field that I almost went to state at. Boy, I used to be able to throw a ball a mile, at least a mile. Seriously though, a field a mile away from the buildings.
The back entrance to the hotel. No fences.
The back of the bar next door. Again, no fences here, locked up tight up front, go figure.
Fairly recently closed. I hope this doesn't violate TOS.
Underneath the deck. Some mad parties happened just above this.
Here is where my utter noobness shines. I did not go into the building. I was nervous and had no light on me, it was the only thing I forgot. Forgive me please.
This is where the party was at.
Damnit. Needless to say Jim, Jack and Jose had to stay on the party deck.
Next door, the truly despicable and gutted hotel.
Inside were the fresh linens.
Even the Gideons got here before me.
I thought the kitchen sink had to be 6 feet away from the toilet? Or was that just for toothbrushes?
The entire area surrounding the hotel was littered with debris and garbage from the gutting.
Sorry, for the brevity. I will hopefully go back and get some more pics from the bar. [last edit 4/10/2007 8:10 AM by xxjeremiahxx - edited 2 times]

| | | i get a little nervous, but its usually more about getting in trouble than imagining crazed murderers or something like that. Lets get a group of people and go check that place out! Strength in numbers! haha. It looks like its definitely worth a drive down.

Okay. I don't know if I would drive up to Denver to see this but if you want to come on down i'd be more than happy to show you around. From what it looks like there is this hotel that I have pics of, the bar, a boat shop and a few other buildings all right next to each other all abandoned. I do not have a whole lot of other places to check out except some drains we could hit up. Lets plan this for sometime early thyis week. Early afternoon. PM me and I'll get you directions and a meeting place. [last edit 4/11/2007 11:50 PM by xxjeremiahxx - edited 2 times]

| | | not having a light can be a good reason. if it were not for flashlights i would have fallen through several holes in floors, and walked into countless things hanging from the ceiling. that why i almost always have one with me
F this I"m going exploring! |
