	Today in a groundbreaking decision the High Court ruled that Hoover is not permitted to re-launch its patent-infringing Triple Vortex vacuum cleaner until one year after the expiry of the Dyson patent that Hoover has infringed. This type of ruling, effectively extending the life of the patent to June 2002, has never before been made in the UK. The injunction has been granted against Hoover in order to stop it from using the product parts that it has developed whilst the Dyson patent is still valid.
