in the news today there was a story about a big sinkhole in glace bay which was once rements of a old bootleg mine which has 3 to 4 rooms heading under the road...

wow another one? thats 2 large sinkholes in a week. the worst part is no one will take responsibility for them and the home/land owners have to pay out of their pockets to fix them.

If enough of them keep opening up, some level of government will have to step in, either municipal or provincial.. Or not.. lol

They'll create some kind of sinkhole commission/task force with about 45 heads making 45 grand a year. Oh yeah, and they'll need a budget of 50 million bucks a year to operate.

there are tunnels all under glace bay. but as tribeach said sketch as hell. mines aren't very interesting anyway.

They showed one of the recent sink holes on the news last night. Trying to clean it up, they've got the entire front lawn and street dug up.. LOL. What a mess..!

Yeah without coming up with any good ideas to boot, or if they do they will contract it out to one of the commission member's kids or relatives...
