|  | | | Lots of people go to the pogue fado but what is up with that building.
The building is called the Green Lantern and its been boarded up for quite some time. The windows seem to have some sort of bags over them.
Under construction? renovations...or abandoned? Tell me what you know, curiosity may get the better of me.

there's a book called george's island: keeper of the harbour or something like that that has a chapter on tunnels in halifax/island. with conflicting details and some pictures of tunnels they found. i have some scans i can post later.
you can get the book at the library

| | | | so I now know the place was at some point under construction but the contruction has since been stopped. I guess its been a few years now since anyone has bothered with the place. it spans the black right back to Hollis.

| | | | Hi there.. I actually went into the building when it was still open.. It was available for rental as studio space.. From What I hear they closed the building and now I guess it is just abandoned.. As far as I know they only way in is the front door or possibly from the roof.. But unless you are spiderman.. I doubt that the roof will be all that accessable..
I haven't lived in Halifax for over 2 years now so this information maybe a little out of date.
If anyone finds a way in please let me know.

| | | | I am going to check it out a bit more. google maps sort of suggests that it extends back onto hollis street as well so. and the pogue fado is in the lower area. I wonder if there is some sort of connection.

| | | | other than ripping the doors open on barrington, the only way i can see is through the roof of the NSCC building on grandville, but access to the roof as i've been checking has been locked both times.
