| | | so theres an old factory, im sure your aware, slated for demo in south denver. myself and two friends set out with a flashlight and a multitool... after dodgeing freight and lightrail lines, we're close enough to scope it out. a busted window past a bent fence is whats available, but on our little perimeter scan, i have a funny feeling... intuition, bad vibes... but we proceed. theres a door ajar, but stuck. so i thought id poke my head in the adjacent broken window to see if it might give (or why it wont). standing at the window, my friends say stuff like "hear that?". next window over, same sounds of life. movement and maybe talking... back to the doorside window... hat off head in simultaniously i pull out to hear my friend's observation and large shards of glass fall inches from the window (inside). then muffled voices. the person(s) in there clearly wanted to be left alone. imagine how bummed we were to stalk around this massive place for nearly an hour, only to be driven off before i could even make entry. at the time i was terrified. maybe you know the place? anyone been in?

| | | that place is my new (kinda) obsession. i'm currently in the process of trying to socially engineer my way in. busting in at night is very sketch...remember what happened to ol' Jerusalem a few years back.
all that aside, it is possible. do not wait, the reaper is coming for her very, very soon.

| | | At this point I would never do Gates at night. You have almost a better and safer chance going during the day. Please be careful!

Once, and it was at night right after they first began shutting down the lights. Very scary experience, I don't think I've ever done anything else in my life where I had to be that alert; not even the Ben Butler was that nuts. I didn't bring a wallet, ID or camera, just two small flashlights with red-filters. As far as I saw the place was pretty empty, even at that time. And they're right, it really almost isn't worth the trouble right now unless you're someone like Impreza. And if you are - go during the daytime if you value your life/record/sanity.

| | | aside from the nest of hooligans or hobos, it looked safe enough. very dark, even for 3-4PM but the place is s big, i figure i can make entry elsewhere and not disturb them... either way, im not keen on trying with myself and my other punk friends without some experienced guidence. its just so sketch in there... but the fence looked to be the easiest part. plenty of entry around the skybridge area. im thinking ill try farther north, where the admin stuff is...

| | | There's a pretty well established entrance now. A fence on the south side is torn open, and some of the doors have been destroyed. I recommend exercising extreme caution as not only is the site under watch for scrap metal looters, it also contains some very toxic leftovers.
