| | | Can anybody suggest a good and affordable (like say about $100 or less) respirator. Thanks. Edited to correct $10 to the intended $100 [last edit 2/14/2007 11:48 PM by Soldat - edited 1 times]

Unless your shirt cost more than $10, of course.

Very true! If $10 is the degree to which you care about your respiratory system then hell use an old shirt and save yourself the $10. Not that either is going to protect you against the serious nasties but with a shirt you've $10 more to spend on bus tickets to explore barns!

| | | Oh geese. Sorry everybody, I was in a rush to get oiu the door before work when posting this and missed a zero. What I meant to ask was for one about $100 or less. Yeah, I care about my self enough to spend a bit more than $10. Man, I just made myself look like a jackass.

| | | It certainly seemed a bit odd. Funnier still is the unintended commentary on the state of UER (and the internet in general) that we actually believed you meant $10. Buy the best you can afford. In Aus the ones rated for asbestos are labeled "P2", but YMMV. [last edit 2/15/2007 12:09 AM by dsankt - edited 1 times]

| | | I got mine from Home Depot as well, cost me about $28 and it's approved for protection from lead based paints, asbestos, and mold, basically your run-of-the-mill exploring hazards. They sell replacement filters for it there as well. I can't recall the actual model name, but it's served me quite well. If your town has an Army Surplus store, they sell functioning Israeli gas masks (with filter) for about $40. I really don't know where you're gonna find a reliable respirator that will actually protect you for under $10.

I'm suprised you didnt say panties. Every cool exploRer knows that wrapping a set of panties around your face and creeping into a barn is the way to go. Or jock straps. Whatever may tickle your fancy.
All kidding aside, skip the pot acouple of times and your there. Don't be cheap about your health. [last edit 2/18/2007 5:56 AM by Air - edited 2 times]
