Most of the places around here are haunted by nothing but security and county police.

yea true. there are 'haunted' places back in Leesburg that I know off, but all are occupied and you can get a ghost tour of the area.
haunted and abandoned are two different things.

| | | | There's a semi-abandoned cemetary in DC by the Stadium Armoury metro stop. People go there to walk their dogs, but other than that it's mostly deserted. It's the Congressional Cemetary and lots of semi-famous people and statesmen are buried there. Kinda like Arlington cemetary, only it was maintained via subscription and when people stopped getting buried there and their relatives died off, the funds dried up. Kinda cool actually. It's very big, and includes J. Edgar Hoover's grave. Worth a look, though not really "haunted" per se.
