How big, how easy to get in (security)?

I live in Boone, it would only be an hour drive for me.

Wow.... it looks a LOT different in that post card. But I'm pretty sure that is it. I tried to google up some history but they only thing I really found was obituaries and a story about a tornado that struck Rye Cove school and they had a train take the dead and injured to the hospital.
I didnt go with them and they were slightly doped up but according to one of them, there is a hole on the back side of the fence and the doors were open. The bottom floor is the morgue and they said there were IV carts and all the slabs and everything still there. Its about 4 stories tall and they said it was in pretty good condition. Just a lot of broken glass and pentagrams and other "evil" symbols.
It closed in the 1930's so I'm sure it cant be in wonderful shape considering how long it has just been sitting there. But they said all the floors seemed very stable.
I dont know when the best time would be to go get in it. They went at around 3:30 AM. Thats about when all the ricers stop "cruising" and the cops back off on those roads. But it is only about 10 minutes from the police station and court house so you are bound to have a few cops drive by. So just be careful it you go!

Well, anyone exploring while on drugs is a stupid idea.

I would only go during the day because I take photos of these places. Sounds like a cool place.

Is there cover in the back so if you snuck in during the day and parked far away you could get in unseen or is the way to get in in open view?

they aren't "explorers" they just decided to go in for some reason. Who knows with them. He lives directly behind it so they didnt have to worry about parking or anything like that. Plus if a cop pulled up they could have ran or made up an excuse about his dog or cat or something of that nature. I dont know if during the day would be any better with the cops in that area. I dont know when or if I will get the chance to get in it but if I do I'll take some pics.

Can you take some pics of the outside from the road? I want to see how in the open it is. If I can get to the back without being seen, I'm up for going.
