Substance for a memory?

This is a weird request, but I've always dreamed of finding the place. Maybe about 10-15 years ago when I was little I recall going on a long drive (most likely going on the highway between Charlotte, NC and upstate New York which would be 77 and 95? I think?)... Anyway, I remember seeing at least two very tall slides off the side of the road in what looked like an abandoned water park of some sort. I'm certain this place isn't on 85 (if it still exists) but maybe its on 77 or further up north. Or maybe it's completely gone! Does anyone have any idea what I'm talking about? It's been driving me crazy for years.

You would be suprised at what you can find using google earth or its competitors.
