as far as i know, MaZe and I were the two only active Moncton members on the board... i've moved out of town to Fredericton, and i believe MaZe moved to Ontario...

Yep. Jedstah is correct. Although I now live in Ottawa, I do travel to Moncton regularly.

Im in new brunswick, right now im on the tunnel case of UNB, so far it seems like its mostly steam tunnels, there has been some injurys on this case since we have spent a lot of time in these tunnels (eight hour at a time, every night)It seems like there is suddenly a lot of intrest in these tunnels again, its a shame that most of them are just walking forever and ever with no leads. we have maped out all of UNB now, we have found a couple of entrences to the downtown tunnels, but we do not wish to go public about them yet because we fear that they are unstable now, and at the age where cave ins are posible, we dont want to be responcible for any injurys or death, we have run into one cave in so far, and let me tell you, its not cool. we suggest to anyone who does deside to put themselfs in the tunnels to wear hard helmets these older tunnels are VERY old and will fall down on you if your not carfull. Anyways, the FUG crew has said its peace on that. it seems a member by the name of Chatham is intrested in working co op on this project as of this point we do not wish to start since we already have a team of 20 working on these tunnels. its nothing againts you, its just that we have too many people as it is, but with these tunnels, one trip can change everything, we have notice more and more damage being done to these tunnels, a door has been broken compleatly down, the confind space sign is missing from the crawl space, one door at the LBR has been pried open, someone in the tunnels is ruining the whole thing, although the UNB and ECH tunnels are really a waist of time. I would expect very soon someone is going to get very hurt, and all the tunnel entrence are going to be resealed again. its a shame since we dont have a secured downtown tunnel entrence yet, so re opening the tunnels will become quite painful. there is one door that we can pick, and have done it before. but we really dont want to be entering the tunnels if any off this happens, so please, when you are in the tunnels, be carefull, if you start going around breaking stuff, people will notice and report it. there is contruction in these tunnels right now and the workers tend to wander the tunnels on there off time so they will notice something eventualy. Anyways, the FUG crew here has desided to release some pics onto this site, please keep in mind they are our pics.

Hey, I guess this answers the question i asked in the other thread about the danger. But speaking of danger, did you actually go through the construction area with the asbestos warnings? When I ran into that I turned around and left, I found another way that bypassed that section and have been exploring below ever since. No problem on the not wanting to go Co-op, I kinda want to do this on my own without too much help.

People, talking about how you enter a location in a public thread is stupid. It's the best way to make you 1) cops will catch you next time you go 2)entrance will be sealed up thighter then ever.

Please us private messages to exchange sensitive informations. Thanks.

Yea, I get that, But i did say that it was only open due to construction in the building and that it is no longer accessible. I'm new to this, I didnt think that saying the location of a unaccessibe entrance would have any effect.

Edit:

Just to make it clear It's definitly not me or anyone i know that is damaging the tunnels, We've never forced our way though locked doors as much as I wished I could have after waiting almost a year to find an way in.

ATTENTION PLEASE

There IS Abestos Dust in the tunnels, I found someone in the tunnels near the exit (you know what one i am talking about) coughing very hard, my team helped him to the ER so please BE CAREFUL in areas of construction, this stuff is not a joke and it will hurt you. I have posted another thread in case you do with to enter the tunnels and have not found an entrence other then the one near the construction. here are some warning lables you may find when you come near the construstion area.

Hey, yea I ran into those warnings the 1st time I Went down thats where I stopped and then proceeded to leave. I have other ways of getting in that are far away from that area of the tunnels now I haven't entered through the entrance that you are talking about since the 1st time I went down. I know where that section starts and ends and have no intention of going anywhere near there until the construction is finished and the warnings are removed, even then I'll probably wait until I have a mask just to be safe In case there is any asbestos that has settled in that section. I know how dangerous Asbestos is thats why I was wondering if you actually went through that area when I saw orange tarp in the pic that you first posted on here. Im now entering well north of that section of tunnel.

Edited: added more information

Just an after thought, do you think that they will go sealing up all the entrances again after this?

There's Asbestos is most old buildings, especially abandoned and in almost all tunnels that have more than 20 years.

Bringing someone to the ER cause he/she just snif some Asbestos is futile. The nasty thing about Asbestos is that you can't feel the contamination right away, you will only suffer from it years from now. So whoever was coughing wasn't conghing from Asbestos (unless he roll in it for hours), he was coughing from dust.

But bottom line, contact with Asbestos can be lethal but YEARS from now.

Hey, I think that if thay do get sealed up that I could probably get back in but if I do have any problems the help would be appreciated. As for the asbestos in the rest of the tunnels I found this report

http://www.unbf.ca...rtJanuary52007.pdf

it sas that except for the confined spaces under the alumni building, tibbits, and the construction area that the air is good to breath without masks

Whenever you explore an old building, tunnel, etc, you should always put your health first, its just the smartest thing to do. its completely up to you to do whatever you do down there
