I used to live in Ontario, but recently I moved to Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia, and I'm very disappointed because I dont feel very confident that i will be able to check abandoned places out any more, because i used to do a lot of exploration in ontario...Are there any places near me...

i have to agree.. if you haven't even been near the bridges since you've been here. you should probably get to know halifax more, have you even looked? how did you find places in Ontario? we wouldn't be very good 'explorers' if we relied on others so much. or havent even explored a new city we moved to.
also, we don't really know you very well, how do we know you aren't crazy?

Calm down.

I live in Cole Harbour. Close to Halifax. Just go hunting, imagine finding something on your own, it would feel so good.

I'm living in Ontario right now, but moving out to Nova Scotia next summer (Military posting), so I too, will be looking for new places to explore.. but I can always look at the DB for that, or take a drive around the country side..

Or maybe even meet up with some east-coaster's and schedule a nice meet so I can get used to the area.

Nova Scotia will probably be a big change to you from Ontario.

Where abouts in NS are you moving to?

If you dont want to travel into downtown halifax than just look around the outskirts for example beaverbank has like four or five discovered places and there is probably more is you explore. Get out of your car and walk around for a wile that is what i do, your bound to find something.

Yeah, Beaverbank actually has quite a few places, for instance: the CFS Mill Cove building is still up at the Beaverbank Villa by the old folks' home

It's way up in the back of where the villa used to be. The building was used as an air tactical radar station back in the 50's/60's.

I might be going back up there this weekend to get pics of it to put on here.
It's too bad DND cemented up the main entrance to the building
