|  | | | not sure about there but did just notice a sign for a WW2 POW camp outside of dallas the other day. I didnt have time to go look but will be working in the area for the next year or so so plan on going by next time im up there. Its on the way to greenville off hyw 380

its in Princeton now its a city park after the war many of the prisoners liked it there so well they stayed and bought farms in the area

|  | | | I found what I am pretty sure is the remains of a WWII POW camp in a forgotten corner of a decommissioned military base in Texas. The barracks are different than any other enlisted mens quarters on base, they almost look cheap or temporary in construction even for GI housing. The tiny "bedrooms" had no windows. It sits away from the other barracks too. And there was some industrial and warehouse type buildings as well as the 5 barracks halls that would have housed about 30-40 men each. From the air its clear there was a perimeter around these buildings at one time but no fence remains today. From research I learned the German soldiers that lived were used for labor like shipping maintenance and non-critical machine shop work.
 I just took snap shots nothing too fancy but if y'all want I'll post some here
