does this do anything for you?

I havent decided if i like this picture or not. I took it today and just adjusted the contrast and brightness in PS and then framed it. What do you think?

My eye is wandering around attempting to lock on a subject. I will try the shot again with different settings. The ramp with the pine needles and overgrowth in the background is supposed to represent disrepair and decay, or at least thats what i was going for. Ive come to the conclusion that im not happy with it, but i keep staring at it for some reason.

An armed society, is a polite society. So lets get to it!

this does nothing for me. Too much of the photo is out of focus. It hurts my eyes. Make it stop!

my main thing with that photo is, it isnt that bad BUT if youre going to try for symmetry, like, with the fence exactly in the same place on both sides of the photo, you really have to nail it, because if its off in the slightest your eye is going to notice. you see how you can see mmore of the side of the fence on one side than on the other side? (sorry, i dont seem to be explaining myself well) well, thats my main gripe.

I can't say I agree with the person before me. I've been taking pictures for years now and one thing I've always loved was the photo without subjects. The main focus of this picture is obviously the left fence, and the left tree. These are well balanced by the right fence and tree that appear out of the focal range. The attention is a little left heavy which draws your attention to what looks to be some sort of livestock coop. That coop reminds me of a farm setting and this is reflected by the viewpoint height. It's almost as if you were taking the picture through the eyes of a Goat or a Sheep.

I find the idea is good, but without a subject the photo lacks meaning. If you were to utilize the foreground to cite a proverb in a nice white font... This is the kind of picture you'd see on the wall at the doctors office with a taky line.

That's my 2 cents atleast

Huh. I don't see it that way, but to each his own, like you said.
