A sample of work from various sights

I'm actually a painter, but I enjoy photography. Photography is a release for me. In fact, I enjoy it enough to wonder whether or not any of these pics are interesting to people who take photography seriously.

Generally speaking, I came to share this experience I've been documenting, but I wanted to try just once to have the work criticized for its aesthetic value.

Otherwise, you can catch me in the basic ue photography forum

thanks--
K

hope this wasn't too ... long.

I think it was... 39 is really pushing it! It's too daunting a task for me (and probably a lot of others) to critique so many photos. Please split them up into different posts or be more selective with what you post in the future.

Yes too long, you seriously think people are going to critique 39 shots - 6 is a good number!!

Yeah, it seemed absurd even as I did it. Guess it was a compulsion. I have those in plentitude.

Next time I'll ask less of the Royal ear.

I like #35. I always like how a random sunbeam can highlight an interesting object in the picture.

May I make a suggestion? You in photoshop? After you reduce the size of a photo for posting on the web, try going back and adding a little extra sharpening. i.e. Unsharp Mask.

You could also push the contrast just a pinch more in #35.

I tried adding a bit of contrast and sharpening to your pic and I was able to bring out some of the nice texture on the surface.

I like 15, the bits of glass laying next to the dangling phone makes me think of some heated argument or something.

Kade, come hang out with Matt, Mike, and I from the Southwest forum. Basically all we do is go check out places to shoot them.

An armed society, is a polite society. So lets get to it!

will do killa. work is getting in the way right now, and has to take priority. I only get to venture online from time to time to live vicariously off of everyone elses experience. I'm still hoping on some time off toward the end of the month.
