| | What do you use to carry your gear?? < on 8/24/2006 11:57 PM >
| | | Well? Until recently Ive always used a rucksack... Having got it caught on a fence and ripped the straps off, Ive fallen back on my 'beltkit' style belt, with a few pouches for odds and sods. What do you guys use....pros and cons???

| | | http://www.bhphoto...categoryNavigation I usually put my camera body and maybe 2 lenses in there, and use the rest for water and a mag light. It's great if you love the photography aspect of UE, but kinda expensive for a backpack if you're not going to put a camera in there

| | | Thats what Im trying to find! Something that will give plenty of protection for my camera gear, but still has room for bits n bobs, can be worn for 12 hours if need be, that comes off easy to get thru/under/over fences, but is small enough to allow me to climb a tower crane still! Is there such a thing?!?!

| | | The one I have is honestly quite comfortable to wear, and not too cumbersome. I think any backpack though is tough to wear underneath a fence.

| | | I just use a generic black backpack from an army surplus store. One main compartment with a drawstring and a flap with clips, and a few side pockets. Has room for everything, but isn't very organized. It's cheap, rugged and discreet though, so it works for me.

| | | A cheap bag I used in the upper secondary school. It's almost broken now, so I've been looking for a new one. My friend has one from Bundeswehr , and it feels quite durable and comfortable, and is quite cheap (20 euros) too. [last edit 8/25/2006 2:55 AM by Tupsumato - edited 1 times]

I think you just described the backpack I have.
Here's a lockpick. It might be handy if you, the master of unlocking, take it with you. |

| | | The only thing I really carry is my Pelican Case which holds my camera. Never found a need for anything else. And the only time I really bring it is after rainy days or a new site as I don't know what I'll be getting into.

| | | I use a standard black backpack that I picked up at Target. If something needs to be kept dry, I either put it in a plastic bag, keep it in Mr. Peanut (scrubbed out Jif jar, excellent for wallets and cell phones), or just leave it behind.
