| | | Yeah. there's a few neat places. Rainbow Valley closed down last fall and I explored a bit the place while they were dismantling the attractions. I also explored Cavendish Sandspit while it was closed. Don't know what church you're referring too cause all churches I know close to Cavendish Beach are all active. Behind the Boardwalk though, there's an abandoned amusement park (well, that's prolly an overstatement). You can't miss it there's a replica of the US Space Shuttle and it's written ADVENTURE on it in Orange. Neighbours ARE keeping an eye on this abandoned place though. | | | haha, I remember going in that space shuttle when I was a kid, that place was pretty fun, I found it better the rainbow valley when that was open too. I'd like to get over there some time.

| | | I spent plenty of summers in Cavendish when I was younger, some of my family still lives in the area. I am not sure which Church you are referring to either, but there are several abandoned houses just after you drive through Cavendish (off the main highway of course). Several of the ones I used to explore have collapsed and there is little left to explore. There are lots of abandoned farm houses on the island if you look around in the smaller villages. As for the Space Shuttle, I dont know if its behind the Boardwalk, the campground stretches back there, although there is a huge dump with all kinds of crap piled up if you go further back into the bush (I doubt its been cleaned up). The Space Shuttle used to be a part of some amusement/attraction in the nearby village of Murray River. There was also the Cavendish Drive-in theatre that was torn down years ago, (replaced by houses), I had a chance to check it out when they had left everything behind like speakers and projectors and other neat stuff in the snack bar area......ahhh memories....

Still there. Not that interesting in my poor opinion.
