rooftops are great. id almost rather find some sick rooftop than gain access to some abandoned place. i most like active rooftops, at night, on a busy street. like a downtown building on a saturday night, you are just above the street, out of view, unknown to all the people bustling about below, going to bars and living.

ive gained access to quite a few rooftops across north carolina. mostly around the triangle and the triad. my most recent conquest was a spontaneous one. i was going to try to sneak into the caf at university of north carolina at greensboro with my girlfriend. we parked around back near the library and i noticed there was a window washer type thing way up on the side of of the library. that alerted me to the possibility that maybe workers have been in and out of the roof access door and there could be a chance it would be open. and this is one of those buildings that you can see from EVERY OTHER rooftop ive climbed in greensboro, and ive never been able to access it's heights. so we went up to the 9th floor of the tower and climbed the final 2 flights to the mech. room at the top. we werent sure if noises we were hearing on the other side of the door were voices or not, so we went back down to the 9th floor grabbed a couple books and chilled out. the PA came on and began saying "the library will be closing in 15 minutes and the lights in the tower wil be going off in 5..." i decided it was now of never and we dashed up the stairs. there was a piece of cardboard in the door jamb where the lock latch and stuff was so that it stayed open. she held the door and i peeked inside the small room to see if it was clear, we entered and i walked over to the only other obvious door in the room and opened it to light and lots of wind. you had to climb down onto the main part of the room via a small stair. once up there though it was very intense. i was trying to take pictures with my phone and my hand was shaking cuz it was just soooo fucking intense. there were very short barriers on the edge so crouching to avoid detection was necessary. these are my shots that i got on my camera phone from saturday.

which brings me to that building. the abandoned jefferson pilot building. a very intense rooftop, 17 floors up on top of an empty building.

ive got shots from thw whole building but those are for another time and ill eventually add it to the location database with all the shots from there
