| | | (I could have sworn to have responded to this same thread before) If you go barefoot often, then barefoot UE is for you. If you have soft delicate feet, toughen them up by walking around barefoot everywhere you can before you go doing UrbEx barefoot. With decaying buildings offering great textures, I generally like to go barefoot. Oftentimes you'll encounter wonderful things for your hardened, leathery bare feet such as broken glass, dirty needles, decaying floors Don't forget the wonderful feeling when you step on a dead, decaying cat the way his guts squish oh-so-nicely between your toes. The feel of old splintered hardwood is also very nice, is heavily rusted metal floors. The best part is you can take out the metal shards with a powerful magnet so they're not so bad. I love the feeling of coming home from a good barefoot UE and actually having a piece of the building stay with me in the form of broken glass in my feet for several weeks until I can pick it all out. Just be sure to be careful when you're walking on old paint chips, as it is probably lead paint and may cause ill health effects if you dont get it all out of your feet quickly. To look forward to all the great moss, mould, broken glass, dirty needles, dead animals, and paint textures to experience, be sure to visit the UE database for some examples for your barefooting pleasure.

| | | Mmmmm, barefoot all the way. I was exploring with a friend of mine who stepped on a tiny piece of metal and lemme tell you, it was a great experience. He happened to have a powerful magnet handy, so he put it up to the top of his foot to see if what he had stepped on was metal and guess what? It was metal and he felt it go in deeper as it moved toward the magnet. He than went home and tried to cut his foot with a razor blade to get it out, but couldn't reach it because it started bleeding a lot (and I mean a lot). So he cauterized it with a soldering iron, and went to the hospital. At which point they made a tiny incision and removed it. What a great experience. (That was a true story, by the way.) | | | When I was younger I went everywhere barefooted. Was kind of use to getting stuck every once in a while. Then one day had a glass shard go damn near through my foot. It hurt but was nothing compared to the Dr. sticking hemostats in the wound and spreading it it apart to make sure all the glass was out. After that started wearing sneakers all the time. Of course a year later I stepped on a bottle bottom and through the sneaker into the foot it went. Had to pull it out. The sneaker made it harder to remove. Thankfully they x-rayed it rather then using he hemostats again.

| | | i once jumped in a lake (barefoot of course) the lake was very murky and i ended up cutting my foot open on a piece of metal that was a part of the engine on a car, they later towed the car out of the lake, it was there for quite some time the cut was kinnda bad but fun to watch bleed

Getting the bits of metal out is like picking dried glue off of your hands, possibly most fun you can have. Bringing home part of the building in your foot goes against a lot of peoples ethics about taking things whilst UEing, so keep that in mind

| | | I could never go UEing barefoot. Ive had glass in my foot before and it hurt like FUCK. Also, there could be chemicals, animal crap, or dead corpses youd be stepping on without even knowing.

Yeah come on guys they're great for exploring. In all reality though, those are just size 15's, I'm standing up straight so more blood goes there. The reason my right toenail looks weird is due to the operation(s) I had on it a year or so ago. I tweaked the curves and did some local contrast to add some extra "scary" to them.
