today i got stopped by a police officer, i showed him the card and he backed off and let me continue to explore.

That might work in Canada, but things aren't quit right here in the US. I did the same thing, showed my official UER card with the holograph authentication imprint, and the officer laughed at it!
Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in.

Now bear in mind that from the prospective of law enforcement in the area where I live, this would all be for your own good to teach someone a lesson about adhering to a non- “mainstream” political ideology.
