Burned house on Hwy 50

You may have seen this while traveling on Hwy 50 if you live or work in Chantilly or Louden County:

After work I decided to see if I could find a way to explore the burned down house on Hwy 50. I managed to find a back entrance through the wooded area.

The house was almost completely gutted; nothing remained save for some appliances and box springs. Still quite fun though.

Here is the whole set of 21 images.

None of these were altered in any way...I just posted them as shot.

If you live nearby it's worth a visit; just be careful...some poor footing.

Nice pics. I would've guessed a dangerous floor in there. The stove isn't blackened, even though black debris is all around. I like seeing burnout pictures, but I don't go inside those places. I don't like the smell, and I'm always afraid someone died on burned couches or beds.

When you say Highway 50, are you talking about Route 50, that goes from Ocean City to DC? I live right near that 50 and would like to check this place out.

Route 50 out in Loudoun County actually has many abandoned things along it. I take this route to and from Fairfax every weekend to Leesburg. Evergreen Mill which is off it does too. Some of the other places along 50 are pretty cool though, but nothing to exciting, as they are just houses that has pretty much been destroyed or gutted by local vandals.

It is on Hwy 50/Lee Jackson Memorial Hwy in Chantilly...around Pleasant Valley Drive. You can access it from the front or the back.

I work about 10 minutes away from that house.
