somewhat obvious is an understatement, not to mention if you get one little cut in em theyre completely useless, not worth the effort in my opinion

| | | Yeah they're useless. Having worked in a HAZMAT team before, you will realize that for most NBC suits the Carbon comes off after the first or second wash, rendering them completely useless. They're made to be disposable.

| | | Look, my mother is head of immunoserology (aka infectious diseases) for our state, through the CDC, and even she doesn't have to wear a HAZMAT suit normally. They suck. They cost, oh, about $4K apiece for a level A suit, and you can barely breathe in them, let alone move about freely. And if you're going in some place so nasty that you need a HAZMAT suit, then you're going to need a portable decontamination shower, which can weigh up to 200 lbs. Oh yeah, and you're supposed to be certified by OSHA before using any of this equipment. If you want to play dress up, go buy a Nomex or Tyvek suit and some duct tape. You can buy them from DuPont. Don't forget to take pictures for us.

| | | You can sometimes get them at local surplus shops if you look around. Depending on what quality you are looking for - like NBC (nuclear biological contaminant) or standard Hazmat such as grease, solvents, mercury, Dioxin, PCBs and creosote you may be able to get from a safety store. Of course your other option is just to order them online - less questions. Just remember you shouldnt be re-using the suit. Once its used and exposed, you dont want to bring whatever is on the suit into your home as contaminants may leech into your home and make you ill.

Agreed. FOG Definitive answer: No, they are not worth the money unless the target destination is glowing atm. They are disposable, and disposable is not just a suggestion.
