Duck under cameras?

New to UE, my first post, sry if this is a repost but, is it possible for a camera to see you if your ducking right under it? (Granted the camera cant move on its Y Axis) I know this sounds childish but I discovered the idea from a game, but when I come to think about it, it actually doesn't seem like such a bad idea.

(I've heard about rumors that cameras have a seperate camera looking downwards to prevent just this, but it hasn't been confirmed)

From personal experience I've found it's better to just casually walk by the camera like you are supposed to be there. If it's a camera that someone's being paid to watch then the setup is probably good enough that you won't be able to sneak by.

yeah, but id still be a little young in the eyes of security to be wandering a building, it wouldnt take much to realise a 14 yr old shouldnt be in a building like that

I'm 25 and I should not be in places like that

Dude, your 14!?! that make you immortal in UE(as far as the law goes) You have 4 more years where you can explore with no real legal consequences. You, my friend have a awesome thing going there.

As far as a closed circuit camera goes, PAWolf is pretty much spot on. If they can afford cameras, you won't be able to get around undetected for long, so just play it off(hiding in plain sight, I think that's what it is called)

Oh yeah, and welcome to UER

Cameras don't see anything, the tired and lazy guy who is actually watching 'Family Guy' is supposed to be watching the cameras.

The really good camera placements you don't see, at least until it's too late.

Learn more about smart camera technology, it's out there. It doesn't sleep, or ever get cold. It can recognize your face, and where your at in it's 3-D perimeter.

Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in.

Throw a chaff grenade and you'll be fine. Your radar will jam up though, so be on the lookout. Also, the Colonel may be able to guide you through some of the way.

they dont have to chase you

they dont need to have Bubba the guard awake to see you

a lot of these are hooked to a recording device of one type or another

we play ours back at the office each day just to see who stayed late or who came in after hours, I think we have automatic 24hr playback and can save as a video file forever

the local PD used one of our recordings to prosecute some computer thieves hitting offices during business hours

Ya I was just being facetious. Are they cross referencing faces from security cameras with drivers license photos yet? It would seem that would be the only way to ID someone from camera footage who hadn't ever been booked.

You're much better off splicing into the video feed before you get into the main building and playing back a looped feed of empty hallways.
