****ing christ man, read up.
Ever hear of methane buildup in drains? Or other noxious fumes? It's very real.
Here's a few more for you:
Hydrogen Sulfide, Carbon Dioxide, Ammonia
Add onto that, microbacteria that will make you very sick without strict precautions.

You have to watch out for those spiders. They are just waiting for you. The ones that live in the drains are extremely poisonous and use sonar like bats to hunt you down. Here is a picture of one (Arachnovicious). Note the blood on the ground from its victims.

Oxygen depletion is not a concern, but drains can potentially contain a flammable concentration of methane gas and if it ignites, you will get burned.

dah. Do you think if the methane ignites there will be an O2 problem? Oxygen is always a concern in enclosed, poorly ventilated places, if you intend on being there.

Eat them.
******, just go through them or knock the web down with a stick. They aren't going to jump out and eat your balls or anything kid. It's a spider. Been bitten by many of them, and as long as you are prepared with a first-aid kit (or suck the venom out with your mouth and spit it out), you will have no problem.

Just catch them in a jar and release them when your through. If you don't worry about karma just wear thick leather gloves and squash them. Sticks work too.

That's far far under the downtown of a major city. Nobody would hear.
As far as the explosions, that's unavoidable when you're firing off big candles. Not my problem, you know?

Yeah, flamethrowers in drains are probably a bad idea. There can sometimes be a methane build up from drain bacteria and algae.
Just in general, don't use flamethrowers in UE because they are pretty dangerous.
