| | Hello Everyone! < on 2/9/2006 7:14 AM >
| | | Wow, it's great to find a place on the web that is dedicated to UE. Long time explorer, first time poster. I'm from Saint John, NB, and have some material to share (images, and stories) from local UE missions, mainly to an abandoned island called Partridge Island. The island is incredible and absolutely rich with history. I would really like to be able to contribute to this website. Until I figure that out, I'm having a blast checking out locations near me. Anyway, hello fellow UE'rs, pleased to meet you!

| | | Saint John is a great little city- I can't wait to see what you post. Partridge Island was great, but I was sure there had to be other cool stuff lurking on the fringes.

| | | Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! I'm pleased to be here, and look forward to sharing everything I have to offer. I'm a huge fan and believer of sharing information for free, and abiding by (at least almost) all the rules of the moral UE'r. Saint John, despite what anyone who's visited my think, is not a wealth of explorable places. Most of the good spots have been demolished. We had an enormous hospital (The General Hospital, demolished in 1995) which they never even bothered to keep people out of. Then there was Centracare, Canada's first established dedicated mental health facility, demolished c. 2000. Then there was the Lantic Sugar plant, demolished last year. There are dozens of private houses standing abandoned around town, but what's the fun in that? I'm thinking about starting to get into exploring drains. There seems to be tons of information on getting started on this site, and I see there are Fredies interested in draining too. Regardless, I spend whenever possible driving or walking around, trying to find spots worth checking out. I've found DOZENS of "secret" spots around town; little beaches and things like that, but really no structures to investigate, which is where my passion lays. EDIT: Is there a way I can add a DB location or two without becoming a full member? The rules for becoming a full member are a little unclear to me. In the mean time, should I add everything to a forum thread? [last edit 2/10/2006 3:08 AM by Boyer - edited 1 times]

| | | You can apply to be a fullmember since you've been here awhile, and posting pictures in a thread would be a good start at getting them to accept you also.. welcome [last edit 2/10/2006 4:09 AM by darbycrashin - edited 1 times]
