| | | Anyone prefer certain gloves over other ones? Recently been looking for some that will let me use my camera, while giving me protection. Found some that were warm and gave me use of my fingers, with decent protection. I think it was yokes that turned me on to these puppies.
Duh... Maybe I should point out that I got them at Mark's Work Warehouse, around $35 or so. Anyone else use something like this for exploration? I might even go back and get some unlined ones for warmer months, just for hand protection. [last edit 11/18/2005 11:26 PM by lopix - edited 1 times]

| | | Personally I use some thick leather rappelling gloves I got from a surplus store.. So far they've stood up to almost everything except the huge gash I put into them from wrapping wire with a drill, the end came loose and slit the glove.. Other then that they are good heavy duty gloves for rope or glass and what not

| | | I went to home depot and picked up a pair of all purpose gloves. They are really nice, padded knuckles and palms. 20 bucks, they have a bunch of different kinds with different features. Most of the other pairs cost more though.

| | | I use a pair I got at 7-11 for $4. They work pretty well, great grip, warm enough (I don't get cold easily.)

| | | My glove system. Depending on the temperature, I'll wear either or both. Wearing both works well for keeping my fingers warm in the coldest weather but still allowing me to slip the larger gloves off to take pictures.

| | | I really want to get some good gloves, as my friend likes to bring his cellphone and I'm afraid if I touch it I'll ruin it. Plus it would be good to not have freezing hands as winter comes around. All we have at my house are some gardening gloves, but I guess those are better than nothing.

*grin* Yea.. I didn't notice I was coming to the end of the wire so fast so I didn't have time to get the triggerman to stop the drill.. it hurt like hell, but it's ALOT easier then wrapping links by hand

| | | I like to use leather kevlar, Hatch produces an excellent line of gloves, they are a bit on the pricey side, around $60. I think they provide the maximum amount of protection coupled with sensitivity and grip. Of course I'll use whatever I can get my hands onto or into in a pinch. Any thoughts? T.L.
