	A friend and I are currently living in Japan and are interested in exploring Gunkanjima (Battleship Island). At the moment we're still in preliminary planning stages, but we do have the phone number of a guy who supposedly has a boat that could take us there. Wondering if anyone here has experience with the place, and could offer any general advice about access or any other concerns. Thanks, -- mcmc

If my memory serves, I believe it was Kuroneko who actually made it onto the island, and submitted pictures here. Check out the database entry on the island to confirm this. If I were in your shoes, I'd message him and ask for his advice.
