| | | I wonder if someone can post instructions on how to build your own LED array? It seems like a pretty simple thing to do. Plus it would probably cost alot less than there going for on e-ghey.

| | | It is very simple, I've done it before. Can you solder?

I just picked this one up at wal-mart the other day. It's a great light, super bright, and having the red on the same unit is awesome. Every UE'er should have one!

AV I agree with you 100% on this one. Cooper and I have this unit. You can't find a more versatile light for the price. The red LEDs are so usefull. The incandesant beam is as bright as my 2AA minimag and it is focusable. The LEDs are plenty bright for navigating most sites and they have the added advantage of low battery drain which is important on 4hr + explorations. If you don’t have a headlamp, get one of these. You will soon be asking yourself what you did without it.

| | | Yeah, Pixie loves that light, it's just so versatile (and very well priced). You really can't come close with anything else, for the value ~ performance ratio.

| | | I have that rayovac as well and it is great. I don't care if your infiltrating or whatnot, the red led mode is great, it's all you need when following others, I just point it downward and carry my 2 AA maglight to illuminate features. The Rayovac is in my opinion, definitely a must have. I always carry 4 lights and candles, plus matches, a zippo, and a bic. Call me overprepared, but I could be your friend in certain situations.
