| | | Okay, how does the evening of 1/27/06 strike everyone? Say around 6-7pm start time? I'm thinking south/central denver somewhere (think I-25 + Arapahoe) I know a good Mongolian BBQ place down there. Haven't been in years, but if anyone has a good suggestion on where we should do it pipe up!

| | | This is the place I'm thinking of. We could reserve a large table, I'm not sure if they have meeting rooms. It's reasonable with a meal around $10 + drinks. If you haven't had mongolian BBQ before it's quite simple. You're given a bowl and turned loose on a buffet spread of meat, vegetables and sauces. You "build your own" bowl of food then hand it off to a chef that cooks it up on a huge open grill while you wait. Last time I was there they had a full bar but that was a few years ago.

| | | This place is right next to my office. I eat there all the time. The food is good and reasonably priced. It's not a very large place, but I think it would be adequate for a group under 20 people. Chainsaw, I know the area pretty well. I've PM'd you my phone number. Give me a call if you want, and we can discuss ideas of places to meet. I won't be able to be there, but I'd like to help make the meeting a success. MrSheep

Let's say it starts at 6, but if you make it before 7 we won't give you too much shit for being late. 6 might be too early for folks coming from the springs, boulder or fort collins if they work a regular wage slave schedule. Mr. Sheep - if you have other suggestions on where to do it, let's hear em. I just made a suggestion because nobody else had. If you know a better place let's hear about it.

Hey, if COPEX is happening, we're going to have to acquaint our visitors with Colorado custom. "Poor Alferd Packer! Chomp chomp. I was hungry, I was cold! Chomp chomp..." [last edit 1/15/2006 5:03 PM by cpkangaroo - edited 1 times]

Ah, I can see it now. People come from all over for the big event, and at the end of the Gillman tour we all sit around the campfire and have a good old fashioned Alfred Packer dinner. But wait a minute, weren't there 10 Canadians when we started?

LOL....... this reminds me of when I was working at a catering company and there was 3 mongolians working there. I was good friends with one of them and asked him about mongolian BBQ and do they really cook like that...... He laughed and said, "only when you're caught for stealing or something!". And I have to share this one..... He had been in the country for a few years and could speak English fairly well but there were still a few things here and there that he couldn't understand. One time, one of the office women said something about "affection". He asks "what is affection". So she started trying to explain......"It's when you really care for someone, love them, really like them.....it's anything but sex". He looks at her and says "Affection is butt sex?". We all almost died laughing. Yeah, he never lived that one down. ANYHOW..... We should be there (Daghita and I). We'll have two wild children in tow (Daghita's handsome boys) but we're gonna make it anyhow. They're good kids, 12 and 13 so we can corrupt them.....I mean....teach them the ways of UE'ing at an early age, lol.
