Looks like a cool spot! How old is the school?

I have changed my personal exploring ethics code. From now on it will be: "Take only aimed shots, leave only hobo corpses." Copper scrappers, meth heads and homeless beware. The Jonsered cometh among you, bringing fear and dread.

Not sure, Seek and I couldn't find any corner stone of the building. We haven't researched much into it to find out. Although, it seem extremely old. We'd probably have to hit up the local museum to find out.

Although on the front of it, it seems as though some lettering was missing above the front double doors. It said "Junction School No." although we couldn't read what number it was...

We're gonna look up the info on the building, probably today. All I'm finding readily available on the net is info on Grand Junction school district.....this is obviously not the same since that's clear on the other side of the state. Good ole library....I'm sure we'll once again be there for a good amount of time. For anyone interested, we'll post on here of what we find.

We didn't see if there was power still going to it. Naturally considering the state of the building you wouldn't think there would be any power going to it. It just happen to be another area that Seek wanted to go see and luck of the Irish, the door was already screwed with so we didn't have to B&E into it.

I'm not a personal fan of B&E, which is one reason why I wouldn't strip the boards off of the church you told me the location too. We've been out to that one also a few times, but the neighborhood kids aren't doing their job as Seek would say.

We're patient...just a matter of time before someone B&E into for us so we can gain access.

Leo1: You cant just wander around Gary going into old buildings! Theres plenty of crackheads that will bust you in the mouth for that camera, then run a train your ladyfriends.
Me: I like Gary, I think its nice, aside from the lack of eats on a Sunday afternoon.
Leo2: Yeah, its really nice...until we find three dead strangers in an...abandoned...thing.

This schools real name is "Utah Junction School".It was part of School District 50. It takes it's name from the nearby railyard just east of it. The big black water tower behind it in the railyard used to say "Utah Junction". The school closed in the late seventies or very early eighties.
