| | | caretakers live there? < on 12/31/2005 2:25 AM >
| | | Hey just wanted to move out on a first trip to a local hospital actually a few blocks from my house. Upon investigation over the past years it is abandoned and I never see lights or anyone in there. Most of the place is boarded up. When talking to the crew of UEr's who planned to come with me, they told me there stories of the place. One of them consisted of playing baseball around the premises and getting the ball over the fence. (This fence could be climbed by a 10 year old,its only about 5-6 feet). A friend of mine climbed over to retrieve it and said that a care taker came out of the building and argued with him for hopping the fence and trespassing. Now like I said I drive by this place every day I leave town. I never once seen a light or a person come in and out. I was also told that caretakers live there. I'll get some pictures of the outside but I'm not sure how straight it is to venture inside. Was wondering if anyone could help me get some info on this place as I cannot find a single thing.
I'm not sure of the name but its front door is located on Pleasant St. This is in Winthrop Massachusetts. Any info or people wanting to come just reply.

| | | Sounds like http://www.hospita...HOME-WINTH901.html that. And may i suggest accidentally tossing a football over the fence once or twice? If this is the same place it would have to be recently abandoned, as it was active at least as recent as 2002.

| | | I have heard of caretakers inheriting schools once they close down (my granddad for one) and some institutions, especially convent or religious ones have separate dwellings for the staff to live there, they could still be active. However i have never seen the site so i really don't know specifically.

| | | A reliable sourse told me (this was sometime in late 2004 mind you) that the caretaker does live there somewhere in the middle section of the building. I never ran into anyone in the few times I was there and I don't know if things have changed but I'd definitely be careful.
