|  | | | A few days ago, we decided to visit the Northside Lodge, a former motel here in Mville. We figured we needed to get on it before it was destroyed like it's cousin, the John Milledge motel.
The last remains of the John Milledge motel.
Some exterior pics
Found a number of interesting things stuck to the doors
Most of the rooms had already been hit by vandals... beds were destroyed, tv and ac units ripped apart. And naturally, people had 'special visits' there. Despite all that, we did find some interesting things...
A waterbed
HBO guides from 1991
NO vacancy sign
Key rack
Spare signs
A nice laundry room
I was impressed by the quality of the door numbers... the buildings themselves were fairly cheap
Ultimately, I took at least 60 pictures. Placidserenity has some as well. It was quite a nice trip.

the interesting about it was that the furniture in the rooms was not consistent at all. they all had different tables, if any. some had itty bitty beds and some had waterbeds with mirrored headboards. the waterbeds were still full of water. >.>

Looks like someone has taken interest in the wee hotel.... In the past week or two, it's been rather nicely gutted. Found items from it at the local thrift store.

Indeed, it looks like Baldwin Co. is flexing it's right to seize and pave over anything it wants to develop. A while back I posted about a few houses in town... now they're looking like a strip mall.
