| | | I've been to shannon park not to long ago, one of the buildings was pretty easy to get into, nothing special. Pretty empty. We were there for quite a bit just looking around and never seen one guard, I also drive by pretty often and never see guards there. Id like to check out the church that is there.

| | | You won't see guards, you'll see MP coming for ya. And you only need that to happen once in our great "war of terror" era and you'll be done and might end up with a criminal record, especially that this place is right next to an active power plant. Anyway, Shannon Park is great, I've been there myself but don't be fooled by a"there's no guard" approach. the MP does keep a close eye on this place and they have offices with big windows in the active community center (next to the church) looking at that fence.

| | | Ya have to sneak in around the fence by the water at low tide, and just stay out of plain view when you get there.

| | | I loive in Toronto but Shanon Park was the first home I had when I was born. It was new then. I just returned from a trip to Halifax and wanted to check out the place. To my dismay, the place was fenced in and my wife freaked when I wanted to hop the fence for a look at the old place so I didn't do it. It was surreal seeing everything kept up but no people there. reminded me of Steven King's "The Langoliers" where places are left behind after the people who inhabited them have moved ahead in time. I kept waiting for the Langoliers to come and gobble up the place. I think I will regret not having sneeked in for a final peek.

| | | When in and walking around the place it is pretty surreal, playgrounds empty and silent, streets with not a car in sight, its like a little ghost town.
