normally BDUs are like $30ish.. which isn't too bad for pants, plus they last pretty a long time (at least mine have), I even don't own a single pair of jeans anymore...
(glotoobs kick ass.. I need to get some)

sounds good...
i may just get some of those...
oh, and my glotoob is blue, like the rest of my outfit.
and, anyone that brings along an mp3 player on ue, what ones do you use?
i have an iriver ifp- 899, and i'm a music enthusiast, so i always keep an eye out for new gear.

What color do you want? I think they come in damn near every color on the planet, and I would go much over 25ish for a set.

Id stay away from tiger stripe personally. Unless your in a jungle or want to be a angry know it all ninja(some reason most people in tiger stripe usually do martial arts and are asses).

Does anyone own or has anyone tried CADPAT? I'm looking at $100 to buy a set and I was just wondering how it works.

I'm not familiar with those...why the inflated price? What do they do that others don't?

It has magical powers that make it invisible to night vision. Cadpat is supposed to be 40% better than regular camo at 100 or 200 feet (can't remember). It'll probably stick out like a sore thumb in the winter though, atleast a brand new set.

from what it looks like they are just Digi camo.. which is only really good from my understanding when viewed from cameras and nightvision.. it makes the machine harder to make an image of you or some such shit.. You can buy Digi camo along with any other BDU for around $30.. so I don't know what makes them so special.. I don't think I could justify spending $100 on those unless they are somehow better then Digi.. but also from my understanding digi doesn't help camouflage you from the human eye.. I could be wrong.. but doesn't sound worthwhile..

I've been in the surplus "community", (ha ha) since I was a kid. Haven't stopped wearing camo/OD since. I've heard of these "special powers"(ha ha, funny Jester). I can't wait to try this out. However, 100 bucks at Surplus Herbies in Vernon is way to fucking much! 40-55, 60 at most. Don't get ripped of. Now i'm going to need to put little black dots ,with a black felt, all over my OD, and cam....damn.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too!

The digital-ness of cadpat is supposed to break up the outline of each colour so each individual colour doesn't stand out from each other. In theory it should be better than regular camo.

BAH! I prefer MARPAT myself, and the ripstock is a bit thicker. and it DOES hide from the human eye better than standard BDU's.

Well yeah, it all depends on your surroundings. You don't dress with green cadpat to go into a desert. So think about if you want green or not. Most abandonments I know of aren't forested on the inside ;). Unless normally there are trees around the areas you goto.

Upon actually checking where you're from cadpat would be a good idea because B.C. has lots of vegetation.

I didn't know you were talking about the new digi-camo. It's not worth the price, if you ask me. A regular pair of camos should work just fine.

My camo corset seems to have "special powers"...

Seriously, though, it seems like a waste of money when you consider how unlikely it is you'll ever really be eluding somebody equipped with night vision.

AgentNox you know what that does to most of the boys here.....

There are several new designs out, of the two CADPAT(Army) and MARPAT(Marine Pattern).

MYTHS

1. The digital camo is only good for hideing from night vision.

2. CADPAT is the best of the digital design.

3. All digital camo is the same

The US army has been haveing problems with CADPAT not concealing well. Plus much of the CADPAT is reliant on haveing the fabrics stiched together ina certain way at the seems. If this isnt achieved the pattern breaks down is more easily visable.(I'll re look up the validity of the issue but the Army has had several more issues as well)

MARPAT from all the SF peoples comments apparently is the best and has little issues. THe deisng is not reliant on certain patterns meeting and seems etc. It has one big issue. On the back trhough NV there is a LARGE marine symbol. This washes away over time though.

If you guys havent seen this shit its amazing. You diasper in low level light conditions nearly everywhere. Buildings trees etc. Amazing stuff. Its very hard for the eyes to see after about 20 feet even backdropped with light this stuff is pretty effective. Especially if your half intelligent and stay out of the light.
