| | | A few pics taken in the service subways of a local Mental hospital. I found it pretty tricky to light them and not be in some of the shots being as I was on my own and they are so damn long! Sometimes being in the pic works, others it doesn't. Took along a twin tube flourescent lamp, flash gun and 3D maglite for lighting. Let me know what ya think? And Yes! I do have a very round head! 1.

| | | Great stuff, I kind of wish you hadn't moved in the first one to get a clear cut silhouette, but it's pretty neat having the second one up ahead, you get the feeling of walking down it. #2 feels kind of distant from the interesting parts of the photo. #3 is really cool!

Oh Yeah, I hadn't really noticed that about the second one, there is quite a big amount of space in the foreground prior to all the pipery and stuff on the right there. I think I was tryin gto get the light from the window there top right in and didn't really notice how big the gap was. Cheers! JD [last edit 12/19/2005 3:38 PM by Jondoe_264 - edited 3 times]

| | | Nice. I like the technique of walking down the passage and repeatedly tripping the flash (that's how you did #1, yes?). I might have gone farther if the tunnel was long. On #2, I agree with cropping tighter; the curvy light on the clg and person give plenty of interest without the foreground light and converging pipe stuff. On #3, the chair looks like you planted it there, whether you did or not. If it's not against your religion to move things, you might have tipped it over or something. Very cool; wish mine were this good. Matt

Hey Matt, Yeah, #1 was just walking down the tunnel shooting the flash off, in that one I actually went as far as could go, the last point you can see at the end there is a corner. #3 the chair was there already, likely planted there by somebody else? But I tend not to move stuff around or knock things over for photographic effect, just shoot it as I find it. Thanks for comments! -- Jonathon Doe --
