| | | Now, at some point I know someone recommended Microsoft's http://local.live.com on here, and I looked at it, and it seemed OK, maybe a little cooler then Google Maps. What I didn't realize is that it has this "Bird's Eye" function. Am I the only idiot who hasn't been using this? F'ing amazing. I got this image of Danvers on there, and you can get the same detailed view from a FOUR DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS. I just can't get over how cool this is.

| | | I just discovered that site today from another forum. I'm amazed by how detailed it is. One thing I noticed is that sometimes by switching directions, you actually get a picture that was taken before or after the others.

| | | The imagery is good, but google earth seems faster. I hate waiting for the image to load, and i dont get that as much with GE. Also GE seems to be more user friendly. [last edit 12/10/2005 2:15 AM by Bry - edited 1 times]

I'm a blatant waste of time and resources. |

I think that's how it is, and we just happen to have pretty decent coverage in MA. The same person who showed me this showed me ANOTHER thing that has street-level shots taken from a vehicle... But only major roads in major cities: http://maps.a9.com/

| | | But Lou, I noticed that the "birds eye" view is listed only for major metro areas (and definitely not all). I almost think Google may have this already.
I got your tour winner right here pussies, at least he'd crash out trying. |
