|  | | | Hey everyone, My AA mag is troubles.
I took it apart because it had gotten battery acid all over everything and cleaned it. I thought put it together right, and now today I got batteries and something is wrong.
When I screw the top all the way down to where it should be turned off, its on, and when I screw it up it either turns off or turns off momentarily and then its back on.
Did I lose a spring maybe, am I just an idiot, what did I do?

As a side note, buy some silicone grease from the plumbing department of your local hardware store. Whenever you dissassemble or clean your Maglite (or any other flashlight), lightly lube the o-rings with the silicone grease. Keeps the flashlight waterproof.

| | | | lip balm works just as well providin it is petroleum based. If you slip a 700cc tube over the light it does not reflect light (so cops can't see you) it make less sound if dropped, and can be held in your mouth with out chipping your teeth if you need both hands, for climbing etc. For those that don't know there is a spare bulb in the butt end of the light, (bolt end should have a RED plastic thing, in that is a bulb) Please always have a spare set of batteries. If you are in a high security zone and can't risk light take a cone of black thread and tie it to a rock or something and go by feel.

| | | | Nite Ize makes a good LED upgrade kit, with 3 leds. ( available in Canada at Mountain equipment), for around 8$ CDN (5-6 US$). I have one, and it works great. Saves batteries as well.
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too! |
